St Andrews International School Bangkok is one of 88 schools in the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family. Job Description
We are seeking an experienced full-time counsellor who shares our commitment to providing a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive educational journey for every student. Join us in creating a positive, lasting impact.
The school counsellor provides counselling services to students, acts as a consultant to parents, teachers, and administrators, and engages the school community in workshops and training to raise awareness of mental well-being. They build relationships with the school community, provide short-term individual and group counselling, manage behaviour and crisis intervention, communicate with families and outside professionals, assist in social-emotional testing, participate in student support and parent-teacher meetings, develop support plans, and support safeguarding practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified in Clinical/Counseling Psychology or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience (ideally).
- Experience with psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment of complex psychological needs.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusion principles.
- Experience working with children/young people (ages 3-18) and families from diverse cultures.
- Knowledge of Child Protection practices.
- Experience in a school setting and awareness of global diversity and Third Culture Identity.

- Ability to manage a varied caseload and supervise student internships.
- Trustworthy and collaborative, with a positive, solution-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently with supervision.
- Experience liaising with school staff and developing/implementing policies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to students.
- Collaborate with Learning Support and counseling teams.
- Liaise with school staff on student referrals and support their pastoral role.
- Develop and implement counseling service policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidential records and administrative systems.
