About the role

We are seeking a Secondary Physics Teacher for our Themaid campus, which educates students in Early Years -13.

 

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will deliver UK National Curriculum, IGCSE, International Baccalaureate or A-Level programs. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.  

 

About you

With the ability to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will have a university degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

 

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Qatar including possession of a Bachelor’s degree and a teaching qualification from a face-to-face (non-online) course.

 

Able to work with a high degree of cultural sensitivity in our changing and fast-paced international environment, you will have the ability to lead your team with energy, enthusiasm and a strong sense of integrity.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT

 

Essential

  • A university degree and a teaching qualification
  • Further Degree (e.g. MA)

 

Desirable

  • Teaching within an International School
  • Experience of the UK National Curriculum
  • Proven track record and two years teaching experience
  • Knowledge of the relevant aspects of the UK National Curriculum
  • Ability to plan and design interesting lessons and projects using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly
