KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with morning educational training sessions, helping campers stay engaged and providing support as needed to facilitate a positive learning environment
- Guide and supervise campers during afternoon activities, ensuring their safety, participation, and enjoyment
- Actively participate in evening entertainment, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere that encourages camper involvement
- Build rapport with teenage campers, showing empathy and understanding
- Serve as a positive role model, offering guidance, support, and a friendly ear when needed
- Maintain a high sense of responsibility for camper well-being, ensuring safety protocols are followed during all activities and events
- Work closely with other counsellors and camp staff to coordinate activities and provide a seamless experience for all campers
YOUR PROFILE AND COMPETENCES
- Prior experience working with teenagers or in a camp setting
- Flexibility and ability to work extended hours with a positive attitude, maintaining energy and focus throughout the day, adapting to the camp’s dynamic environment with enthusiasm
- Ability to easily connect with teenagers, understanding their needs and interests
- A passion for entertainment and willingness to engage in activities such as dancing, singing, and going on stage to enhance camper experience
- A strong commitment to ensuring camper safety and adherence to camp guidelines
