A Nord Anglia Education (NAE) está buscando um Head of Finance experiente para atuar em uma de suas escolas no Brasil: British College Brazil (BCB).
O Diretor Financeiro lidera a gestão financeira e as atividades de controladoria da escola, garantindo precisão, integridade e forte alinhamento com as prioridades estratégicas. Isso inclui orçamento, forecast, relatórios financeiros, controles internos, compliance, gestão de fluxo de caixa e suporte estratégico à tomada de decisão.
A função trabalha em estreita colaboração com a Equipe de Liderança da Escola, além dos times Regional e Global de Finanças, para fornecer análises financeiras de alta qualidade, possibilitar decisões eficazes e assegurar a sustentabilidade financeira de longo prazo. As responsabilidades incluem gerenciar demonstrações financeiras, contas estatutárias e auditorias, de acordo com políticas internas e requisitos regulatórios (IFRS e padrões do Grupo).
Um foco central é manter controles financeiros robustos, proteger os ativos, impulsionar eficiência operacional e garantir sistemas financeiros confiáveis, além de processos de orçamento, forecast e reporting. O Diretor Financeiro também lidera iniciativas de otimização de custos, gestão de fornecedores e contratos, compliance fiscal e gestão de capital de giro.
A posição exige forte colaboração entre departamentos (Admissions, Operations, HR, Faculty, Facilities) e liderança eficaz da equipe de Finanças, promovendo responsabilidade, melhoria contínua e uma parceria orientada a serviços com toda a comunidade escolar.
Job Description
Reporting & Audit
- Lead month-end closing and deliver accurate management accounts, statutory statements, and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, regulatory requirements, and Group policies.
- Manage all internal and external audits, including planning, communication, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Strengthen financial and compliance controls to protect data integrity and reduce risk.
- Prepare key financial reports (Capex, KPIs, cash collection, variance analysis) to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, data accuracy, and process discipline.
Financial Planning & Controls
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning aligned with the school’s strategic goals.
- Analyze performance vs. budget, identifying risks, opportunities, and necessary corrective actions.
- Implement strong financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
- Oversee cash-flow, liquidity planning, and working capital management.
- Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
Procurement & Contract Management
- Oversee procurement activities and contract management, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead vendor negotiations and monitor supplier performance.
- Implement procurement controls, streamline processes, and drive cost optimization without compromising service quality.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with School Leadership, Regional Finance, Group Finance, and budget holders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to academic, operational, and administrative teams.
- Communicate financial implications and business cases clearly to support informed decision-making.
- Liaise professionally with parents, staff, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Provide accurate inputs to Group Tax, Legal, and Treasury.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop the Finance team, promoting accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee AP and AR with strong internal controls and efficient execution.
- Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, and other departments to integrate financial insights into daily decision-making.
- Work closely with Regional and Group Finance and Real Estate teams on strategic initiatives and capital projects.
Processes & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, local regulations, and Group financial procedures.
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with HR and Operations.
- Continuously review and improve financial processes, controls, and system efficiency.
- Maintain audit-ready records, updated policies, and reliable financial systems.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance, ownership, and operational discipline.

Required Skills/Abilities
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting, controllership, or financial leadership, ideally within education or service-oriented organizations.
- Strong background in Brazilian statutory compliance, including financial statements, audits, and accessory obligations.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS, with hands-on experience in local-to-IFRS adjustments.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, consolidation, and cash-flow management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, automation, and strengthen internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; CRC certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical abilities, capable of translating complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial audiences.
- Proficiency with financial systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics/Navision) and advanced Excel/financial modeling skills.
- Experience in procurement and contract management, including vendor assessment and negotiation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with academic, operational, and administrative teams.
- Ability to interact professionally and empathetically with parents and external stakeholders when needed.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy and composure.
