Job Description
Reporting & Audit
-
Manage all month-end and statutory accounts.

Lead internal control reviews and support Group and local audits.
-
Prepare Capex reports, KPIs, cash collection reports, and annual financial statements.

Present financial results and insights to senior leadership and governors.
Financial Planning & Controls
-
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Support long-term planning, including financial scenarios and real estate strategy.

Implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard assets.
Procurement & Contract Management
-
Oversee procurement processes and supplier contracts, ensuring best value.
Stakeholder Management
-
Provide timely financial information to principals, budget holders, and internal teams.

Support Tax, Legal, and Treasury teams with required data.

Liaise with parents, staff, and external partners on financial matters.

Represent the school in Regional financial meetings.
Leadership & Collaboration
-
Work with Operations teams to ensure efficient procurement and service delivery.

Build and manage AP and AR teams, improving systems and cash collection processes.

Drive team performance, training, and engagement.

Collaborate with Real Estate and Latam Operations teams on campus planning.
Compliance
- Implement process improvements and maintain updated financial policies and systems.

Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills/Abilities
- A minimum of 7 years of accounting and financial leadership required, preferably in an educational setting.
- Statutory compliance experience required as there are legal entities where statutory accounts are required for both Internal and External reporting.
- IFRS Reporting experience required.
- International Company Experience preferred.
- Experience in the area of reporting and consolidation, business planning, cash flow management and process improvement.
- Skilled in managing and leading teams.
- Experienced in use of accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) and OneStream.
- Recognised accountancy qualification - CIMA, ACA and ACCA etc.
- Ability to engage teams both finance and non-finance related.
- Excellent presentation skills to be able to report to those without a background in finance
- Excellent communication skills to negotiate with external stakeholders on commercial contracts and transactions
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in financial management software.
- Strong Excel skills.
