French Facilitator

To timely execute language lesson plans for assigned sections and facilitate children to acquire skill to LSRW (Listen, Speak, Read, Write) in their chosen additional language. To align the language learning material to the children’s “Unit of Inquiry” to reinforce learnings in area of the UOI even while imparting language skills.

  • Should be familiar with and adapt to the holistic learning methodology and pedagogy.
  • Accountable to be familiar with the lesson plans recommended by the EDU division.
  • Responsible to make tactical modifications and accommodations in class to ensure that the entire class progresses in the process of learning.
  • Responsible and accountable to prepare in advance for the topics and lesson plans
  • Responsible and accountable to conduct subject lesson plans to suit children, and as per schedule.
  • Responsible to adopt appropriate classroom management techniques.
  • Responsible to collaborate with respective CLASS TEACHER’s, and GLC’s on progress of the academic plan for each assigned section.
  • Responsible and accountable to assess individual child’s language skills and progress during each term.
  • Responsible to create test papers in the language for Secondary grades.
  • Contribute to parent delight by feeding accurate details and observations of each child to the class teacher.
  • Jointly responsible for discipline and safety of the children when in the school campus.
  • Responsible to contribute to success of various school events by participating whole heartedly and bringing the best out of children during the events.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

Masters in French

Additional certification in French language (preferable)

  • Ability to provide dynamic, motivational, learner centred, interdisciplinary classroom activities.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to students possessing a variety of learning styles and ability levels.
  • High level of communication, teaching and presentation skills in the specific language.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate standard of discipline in classroom.
  • Strong ICT skills
