Data Manager

 

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an outstanding Data Manager to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role

 

The Data Manager will manage the school’s data and information systems and take overall responsibility for designing, implementing, distributing and editing of accurate and effective data reporting across the School. As Data Manager you will be responsible for providing accurate data to departments and senior leaders to effectively track students progress, promote effective decision-making whilst monitoring and evaluating internal data produced for overall NAE requirements and education ministry KPI’s.   

 

The Data Manager will assist the school’s senior leaders in the production of academic timetables and their smooth implementation, efficiently responding to any queries and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.  He or she will also work and liaise with the IT department to maintain, develop and coordinate the full integration of databases and other school systems, ensuring that these are secure and developed to meet the needs of the school and all its stakeholders.

 

The Data Manager will provide technical and leadership expertise with MIS projects, developing and improving communication and reporting systems whilst ensuring that all users are fully trained.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experience;

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in MIS or a relevant subject
  • Demonstrable project management skills and experience 
  • In depth knowledge of iSAMs and SSRS coding
  • Relevant application development / support experience
  • Previous experience of leading a team
  • Experience within an educational context is preferred.

Selection Process
