About the School

 

Nord Anglia International School Abu Dhabi (NAS Abu Dhabi) lies at the heart of the Emirate, on Al Reem Island. In August 2023, we opened the school’s new, purpose-built campus to our first cohort of students and began to do what Nord Anglia does best: make every moment at school count. Our mission is to help our students prepare for their futures, think creatively outside the box, develop healthy resilience, global awareness, and be team players.

 

The Role

 

All our students – from Early Years Foundation Stage through to IGCSEs and A-levels – follow the English National Curriculum.  The successful candidate will be able to inspire students of all ages and abilities. Classroom resources are plentiful, and expectations are high for achievement for all students. Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents is essential and is a key part of maximising student progress. You will have strong experience of the UK national curriculum; further experience of international education will be an added advantage.

You will be responsible for encouraging and developing further our culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Keen to collaborate and share your expertise, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability and confidence to build strong working relationships. The flexibility and open-mindedness required to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international environment are essential.

Qualifications/Training

 

  • Qualified to bachelors degree level or above in the subject taught
  • Qualified Teacher Status

 

Experience/Knowledge

 

  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching UK National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and IGCSE.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience teaching IB Diploma Programme at SL and HL, or A-level.
  • Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricular to engage children and enable them to perform highly.
  • Working in partnership with parents.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • The drive to continually strive for improvement
  • A flexible approach to changing circumstances
  • Compassion and kindness towards others
