Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is looking to appoint an outstanding Primary Teacher to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor (NAISAK) is a 3-18 through school with more than 1200 pupils currently on roll. Primary is predominantly 4 form entry with approximately 750 students aged 3-11. Our school resides in the town of Al Khor, 35 minutes north of Doha (the capital of Qatar). We educate both local and expat students through a bespoke and engaging Primary curriculum which draws on the English National Curriculum as well as Qatar’s Ministry of Education curriculum. Primary school students have access to various indoor and outdoor spaces, a modern dance studio and a heated outdoor 25m swimming pool.

Job Responsibilities

 

Learning and Teaching

  • To promote the ‘mission’ and philosophy of the school, ensuring that children are working towards being truly bilingual international citizens.
  • To ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting are of the highest quality and meet the varying learning and social needs of children.
  • To be flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to its development plans and growth.
  • Implement agreed policies and developments.
  • To demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach and assess effectively.
  • Use the student tracking and monitoring processes to advance children’s learning and enhance professional practice in line with the school’s aspirations and priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or degree plus PGCE/QTS

  • Proven track record and two years of teaching experience

  • Good working knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum, UK National Curriculum

Selection Process

Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two professional referees, one of which should be your current Head Teacher/ Principal. The closing date for application is 26th December 2024. All interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams or online video calls.
