We’re looking to recruit a Whole School Arabic Teacher to join Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, a Nord Anglia Education school, in August 2025.

About the role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant international education setting, where you will be responsible for delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. As an Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History teacher, you will develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with both the UK National Curriculum and the specific educational requirements of these subjects, preparing students for success in external examinations such as IGCSE and AS/A levels.
You will challenge students to be ambitious in their learning by employing innovative teaching practices that enhance their understanding and outcomes. Given the multilingual nature of our school community, you will design effective curriculum programmes that support the teaching of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History while promoting English language development in these contexts.
Your approach to education will be flexible, ensuring you can meet the needs of all learners—whether they are high-achieving or need additional support—by creating individualized pathways that foster progress and success. Additionally, you will play a vital role in departmental development, sharing strategies and working collegially with your peers to enhance overall student learning experiences.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, helping to shape the educational journey of students in Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History.

As an Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History teacher, you will cultivate a dynamic and engaging learning culture where students are supported, challenged, and inspired to excel. You will foster an environment where students feel that there are no limits to what they can achieve. Your excellent communication and motivational skills will energize the classroom, creating excitement and personal investment in learning. Open to feedback and adaptable to change, you will be enthusiastic about sharing best practices with your colleagues and peers.
As a key ambassador for the school, you will find innovative ways to engage both students and parents across NAISAK and the wider Nord Anglia Education community. Your passion for teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History will be central to your role, allowing you to create an atmosphere of excitement and dedication within the classroom.
You will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- A university degree in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, or a related subject.
- A recognized teaching qualification.
- Extensive teaching experience and a solid understanding of the curriculum for Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History.

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor (NAISAK) is a highly successful, growing school with a committed and inspirational team of teaching professionals at its heart. Secondary is 4-form entry at Key Stages 3 & 4, with approximately 480 students aged 11-18.
