Accounting Supervisor (AP)

Job Description
What You’ll Do
You will take ownership of the full accounts payable (AP) process, ensuring all payments are accurate, compliant, and completed on time. You will also support improvements to systems and processes, and work closely with both internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable Operations
- Manage end-to-end AP process (invoice checking, coding, approvals)
- Ensure all transactions match purchase orders and follow school policies
- Maintain accurate vendor records for reporting and audit purposes
- Handle petty cash, staff reimbursements, and company credit cards
2. Payments & Cash Flow
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payments (local and overseas)
- Support cash flow by managing payment timing
- Liaise with banks on payment processes and issues
3. Month-End & Reporting
- Prepare AP journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Support month-end closing and ensure accuracy of records
- Work with auditors and provide required documents
- Prepare reports and summaries for management
4. Team & Process Improvement
- Supervise and support AP team members
- Improve processes and introduce system or workflow enhancements
- Work closely with Procurement, HR, and other departments
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting
- Experience supervising or leading a small team
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems (ERP)
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to communicate in basic English
