JOB PURPOSE: Act as the primary point of contact for any interested parties.
REPORTING TO: Director Admissions & Marketing
OTHER KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Heads of School, SLT, Regional and Global Admissions MAC

 

Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to

 

  • Acts as the primary point of contact for parents on all issues connected with admissions from enquiry to admission.
  • Ensures that the admissions process from enquiry, through application, to making and accepting an offer is undertaken swiftly, warmly and smoothly and that an effective handover to the coordinators is achieved.
  • Administers appropriate tests and works with relevant people to interpret the results (outside term time this may involve managing input from test markers & at long distance)
  • Supports Heads of School and coordinators to ensure appropriate placement in Hamelin - Laie and with IB coordinators to ensure smooth progression of academic records.
  • Ensures that learning support, ESL and medical needs are identified on entry (if possible) and that appropriate specialists in school are aware.
  • Works with the Marketing Manager to act as point of contact between Hamelin - Laie and outside bodies which may produce future students, keeping in touch with embassies, relocation agencies and major employers of international staff.
  • Maintains friendly relations with counterparts in neighboring schools.
  • Works with the Marketing Manager and school staff to ensure parents get a lively impression of Hamelin - Laie from tours, brochures and interviews.
  • Keeps fully abreast of school developments at all levels to be able to answer specific questions confidently and accurately.
  • Assembles files on students from first enquiry to admission, including records of past school performance, transcripts in accordance with Hamelin - Laie graduation and convalidation needs and passing onto Coordinators.
  • Keeps up to date records of student numbers, by grade level, nationality and language groups.
  • Reports on Admissions related issues to the NAE group.
