Job Purpose
Ensure students make outstanding progress in their learning by:
- Providing an inspiring and effective education in the relevant curriculum areas.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Teaching
Provide an inspiring and effective education in the relevant curriculum areas.
Plan effective lessons that reflect the department Unit Planners.
Lead lessons aligned with the school's Teaching and Learning Charter, assessing student progress to offer support and challenge where needed.
Provide regular verbal and written feedback on learning, in line with the school's assessment policy.
Maintain accurate records of student attainment using official platforms.
Participate in curriculum-based field trips and co-curricular activities, including NAE Global Campus.
Prepare students for external examinations and determine predicted grades.
Advise students on option choices.
Support named students in undertaking Personal Projects.
Participate in Academic Board meetings to support individual students.
Pastoral
Enhance student wellbeing and attitudes toward learning. Keep regular attendance records.
Liaise with relevant teams to ensure support for students in need.
Carry out break and lunchtime duties as scheduled.
Report any safeguarding concerns to the appropriate team.
Mentor older students when appropriate. Uphold the student Code of Conduct at all times.
Parents
Build trusting and honest relationships with parents through timely communication.
Complete regular reports and attend scheduled conferences.
Maintain ongoing records of student attainment in line with assessment policies.
Engage in proactive, informal communication, including sharing positive updates.
Promote best practices through newsletters, the yearbook, social media, and informal interactions.
Support admissions during open days.
Environment
Create learning spaces that promote innovation, risk-taking, and inclusion.
Plan for effective classroom management and address behavior concerns according to school policy.
Organize classrooms to enhance learning and use displays to support instruction or celebrate success.
Report Health and Safety or IT issues promptly. Treat all students with equity, celebrate diversity, and ensure inclusion in all classrooms.
Teamwork
Support colleagues in the school and wider communities.
Assist Heads of Subject and Heads of Year with departmental development plans.
Contribute to curriculum development and share resources, teaching strategies, and technology tools.
Professional Development
Commit to continuous improvement through professional development.
Use lesson observation feedback, data analysis, and student voice to improve practice.
Stay up to date with subject content, curriculum changes, and innovative teaching approaches.
Qualifications
Experience teaching A Level, AP, IB MYP, IB DP, or Primary (3 to 5 years minimum).
Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Philology.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Spanish: native level.
Experience
Experience working in an international school setting.
Demonstrated passion and in-depth knowledge of subject areas.
