Situated in the heart of the embassy district in the leafy streets of Sanlitun, The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun (BSB Sanlitun) is the only British international school in downtown Beijing. It specialises in Early Years and Primary education with two campuses within walking distance of each other. BSB Sanlitun follows the English National Curriculum, which is tailored to meet the needs of its international cohort of students, and curriculum content is taught thematically. THE BRITISH SCHOOL OF BEIJING, SANLITUN is looking to recruit a PRIMARY CLASS TEACHER, to drive excellent teaching and learning in the Primary Stage.

The role:
We seek a qualified Primary Class Teacher to deliver the UK National Curriculum. Your focus will be:
Teach pupils assigned to your class within the school and carry out duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reports meet the expectations of the school.
Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge.
To actively contribute to wider school development and growth.
Demonstrate a proactive approach towards professional development.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
Detailed knowledge of the relevant aspects of English National Curriculum or EYFS
Evidence of active participation in CPD
Teaching degree or qualification with QTS
Minimum of two years teaching experience with evidence of good, or outstanding teaching
Experience of integrating the use of iPads and other IT devices into learning
Detailed understanding of AfL strategies to assess needs & inform planning
Adapts teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for China, including a Qualified Bachelor of Education or appropriate Degree with PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent from other countries. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, the willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training.
