CORE REQUIREMENTS

 

Starting Date: 15 August 2024

Full time, 40 hours / week

 

General Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the class teacher through preparation, delivery, and feedback of children’s learning.
  • Identify, plan (in conjunction with the teacher), and lead small booster classes for low ability or more able pupils alongside the class teacher.
  • Support the classroom and its learners during lesson time.
  • Work with the Subject/Phase Leaders to target areas for improvement.
  • Record and report pupils' progress and achievements in conjunction with the class teacher.
  • Plan and lead aspects of the curriculum such as Hungarian Culture or EAL support sessions.
  • Assist with the display of children’s work.
  • Support whole school development drives and initiatives.
  • Provide cover and learning support to other classrooms as and when required for the smooth running of the school.

Qualifications/Training:

 

  • Qualified to degree level or above (Desirable)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (Desirable)

 

Experience:

 

  • Proven track record working with young people (Essential)
  • Experience of the National Curriculum for England (Desirable)
  • Working in partnership with parents (Desirable)

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Essential)
  • Ability to engage children and enable them to perform highly (Essential)
  • Strong organisational skills (Essential)
  • Ability to engage with all members of the school community (Essential)
