Job Description: Physics Facilitator (Secondary Teacher)
Job Summary
The Physics Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging and effective physics instruction to secondary school students, fostering scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The facilitator creates a positive learning environment, supports students' academic growth, and contributes to the overall development of the school's science program as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Physics lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE, Cambridge IGCSE, and/or IB).
- Facilitate concept-based, inquiry-driven, and experiential learning experiences.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including experiments, demonstrations, and technology-enhanced learning.
- Encourage scientific thinking, creativity, and analytical skills among students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and administer assessments, assignments, and practical evaluations in accordance with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and reports.
- Analyze assessment data to improve student outcomes.
Laboratory Management
- Conduct practical sessions safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physics or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physics at the secondary/senior secondary level.
