Nord Anglia International School, Dublin is excited to announce an opening for a Primary School French Teacher on a maternity cover contract expected to run from March 2025 – March 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens, who will change our world for the better. You will benefit our students and people, through our programmes such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG and King’s College London.

 

 

The Role:

 

We seek a passionate and qualified French Teacher to join our team, focusing on delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to our primary students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Excellent Teaching: Providing high-quality, engaging French lessons tailored to the diverse learning needs of primary students, fostering a love for language and culture.

  • Creating a Collaborative Environment: Promoting collaboration among staff and contributing to a positive and high-standard learning environment within the Language Acquisition department.

  • Engaging the School Community: Serving as an ambassador for the French program through cultural events, language immersion activities, and community engagement initiatives.

  • Designing Interdisciplinary Units: Integrating French language acquisition with other subjects to promote critical thinking and enhance cross-curricular connections.

  • Mentoring and Supporting Colleagues: Contributing to the professional development of fellow teachers and fostering a collaborative atmosphere to share best teaching practices.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • A recognized teaching qualification and significant experience teaching French at the primary level.

  • A passion for language acquisition and the ability to inspire young learners in their language journey.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the capability to connect with students, parents, and staff effectively.

  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, encouraging all students, regardless of their linguistic background, to achieve excellence in French language acquisition.

  • Familiarity with the IB curriculum is an advantage but not essential.
