Job Description
The MYP Programme Coordinator provides academic leadership and operational oversight for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. The role ensures effective implementation of the MYP framework, promotes high-quality teaching and learning, and fosters a collaborative culture among faculty, students, and the wider school community.
1. Programme Leadership
- Lead the strategic planning and implementation of the IB MYP curriculum.
- Ensure alignment of teaching practices with IB standards and practices.
- Oversee curriculum planning and ensure interdisciplinary learning.
- Support teachers in designing units that align with IB concepts, global contexts, and approaches to learning.
2. Teaching & Learning Quality
- Monitor classroom practices to ensure effective IB pedagogy.
- Support teachers through mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
- Promote innovative teaching strategies and student-centered learning.
- Plan and deliver professional development sessions related to IB MYP.
- Guide teachers in IB training requirements and professional growth.
- Stay updated with IB developments and educational best practices.
