Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced MYP English Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, along with a deep understanding of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). They should be able to create an engaging and inquiry-based learning environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills in students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP English Language & Literature curriculum.
Foster a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking through interactive and student-centered teaching methodologies.
Guide students in developing strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Design and assess formative and summative tasks in alignment with MYP objectives and assessment criteria.
Encourage inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary connections, and conceptual understanding.
Support students in developing skills for Personal Projects and other IB core components.
Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
Stay updated with IB curriculum developments and participate in professional learning opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s MYP implementation and contribute to extracurricular activities such as writing clubs, drama, or debate teams.
