Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic DP Economics Teacher to join our team and deliver a high-quality International Baccalaureate (IB) Economics curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore economic principles, develop critical thinking skills, and apply economic theories to real-world issues. This position is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to fostering a dynamic, interactive, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach IB DP Economics: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Economics lessons in line with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme framework, ensuring students achieve academic excellence and deep understanding.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement innovative and interactive lessons, integrating global issues, current events, and case studies relevant to economic theory and practice.
  • Student Support and Development: Support students' intellectual growth through differentiated instruction, offering individualized guidance, and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design formative and summative assessments that align with IB standards, analyze student performance, and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Engagement with Parents and Guardians: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for development.
  • Professional Development: Participate in IB training and professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest trends and methodologies in Economics education.
  • Collaboration with Colleagues: Work with the faculty to develop interdisciplinary connections, contribute to curriculum planning, and participate in school events and activities.
