Short Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dynamic IBDP English Teacher to join our Senior School faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons in IBDP English A: Language & Literature and/or English A: Literature (SL & HL) while fostering critical thinking, creativity, communication, and a lifelong appreciation for literature and language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme curriculum.
  • Teach English A: Language & Literature and/or English A: Literature to SL and HL students.
  • Develop inquiry-based and student-centred learning experiences.
  • Prepare students for all IB internal and external assessments.
  • Guide students in Individual Oral (IO), Higher Level Essay (HLE), Internal Assessments, and Extended Essays (EE).
  • Design formative and summative assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Foster strong analytical, research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Promote the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Teaching and Learning (ATL).
  • Maintain accurate student records, reports, and academic documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation, and interdisciplinary learning.
  • Participate actively in school events, parent meetings, professional development, and co-curricular programmes.
  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times.
