Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to teach Mathematics as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The ideal candidate will inspire and guide students through a rigorous academic journey, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and an appreciation for Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and Learning:

    • Deliver high-quality instruction in Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretations) for IBDP students.
    • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies that engage and challenge students.
    • Design and implement lesson plans that align with the IB curriculum framework.

  2. Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, ensuring familiarity with the IBDP assessment criteria.
    • Provide regular feedback on assignments, projects, and formative assessments.
    • Support students in completing Internal Assessments (IAs) in Mathematics.

  3. Curriculum Development:

    • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, review, and refine the Mathematics curriculum.
    • Ensure lessons align with the school’s educational philosophy and IB standards.

  4. Pastoral and Academic Support:

    • Monitor and support the emotional and academic development of students.
    • Provide one-on-one support and mentorship as required.
    • Promote a growth mindset and foster resilience in students.

  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay updated with the latest developments in the IB programme and Mathematics education.
    • Attend IB workshops and training as required.

  6. Collaboration and Contribution:

    • Participate actively in school activities, events, and committees.
    • Work closely with parents, students, and faculty to create a supportive learning environment.
