MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Childcare Assistant, you follow the care, recreation, supervision, and any logistical needs of Preschool students enrolled in the Extracurricular program. You are responsible for delivering the structure designed for the service and playing a key link between the end of school and parents.
You ensure students are receiving the best possible experience.
Working days: M – T – TH – F from 3pm - W from 12 pm (times may slightly vary depending on needs.)
Total working hours per week: 17
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Welcoming children at the end of school; collect and pass on the information provided by the teachers.
- Ensuring each student’s self-hygiene is timely provided.
- Preparing and maintaining the cleanliness of the areas and equipment used by students.
- Ensuring the administration and the information shared or acknowledged, from the office as well as any other sources, is followed accurately.
- Acquiring pedagogical knowledge on each child and providing consistent feedback to parents.
- Maintaining an accurate record and administration.
- Liaising daily with internal departments to ensure the logistics needs are well catered for.
- Accompanying students to their next destination within their routine.
- Running activities for children and grant supervision for any aspect of the service (once a week for preschool students too).
- Assisting with dressing the children and taking children to the bathroom, changing pampers if required (preschool times).
- Participating in periodical induction & department meetings.
- Promoting the school values RISE.

- Experience with preschool and/or primary children.

It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships. You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
