MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To ensure the safe and efficient delivery of clinical care within the school environment as part of a team of three school nurses. To communicate professionally with staff, parents and management all details concerning medical care and to keep medical centre administration work up to date. You will be called upon occasionally according to the department's needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of clinical care whilst on duty
- Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the evaluation and implementation of programme of care without supervision
- Maintaining accurate clear records of attendances, and care provided
- Forming and maintaining clear line of communication between the medical centre and the rest of the school, adhering to strict guidelines on confidentiality, and utilising excellent communication skills at all times
- Establish and maintain professional contact with the parents of the patients
- To have a flexible and adaptable approach.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You should provide evidence of continual professional development and show a keen interest in primary nursing and healthcare education for teenagers. You must possess good interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities. Additionally, you need to be resilient under pressure.
Qualificiation
A nursing qualification recognised by Swiss law is required. Additionally, experience in emergency and pediatric nursing, as well as in teaching and assessing is preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French are also necessary. It is preferred for candidates to have prior knowledge in primary nursing and healthcare education for teenagers.
