MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Payroll Specialist at CDL, you will be responsible for managing payroll and all related processes. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting overall HR operations. You will work proactively with internal stakeholders across all departments, collaborate closely with HR colleagues, and liaise with external partners to provide expert guidance and ensure the accurate collection of information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the payroll:
- Gather and verify supporting documentation and data for monthly payroll cycles
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of payroll data
- Execute end-to-end payroll process, from data entry to payment while ensuring full compliance with Swiss Labor laws and regulations
- Review and ensure timely submission of payroll-related data to external service providers, statutory filling requirements and payroll approvals.
- Ensure accurate year-end closing and all related declarations
- Coordinate with the CDL finance department for monthly third-party payments and cashflow management.
- Prepare monthly reporting for the accounting department.
- Ensure data consistency between the payroll system and the HRIS.
- Participate in yearly budget preparation and quarterly forecasts.
- Prepare year-end closing documents.
- Provide support to employees in French and English.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- Extensive hands-on experience in managing internal payroll systems within complex organisations in Switzerland, preferably with SwissSalary.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss social security systems and all regulations related to payroll and employment contracts in Switzerland.
- A rigorous and systematic work approach, demonstrating a results-driven mindset and a strong commitment to achieving objectives.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications, ERP systems, and Excellent Excel skills as a prerequisite.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate diverse challenges and manage high workloads effectively.
