MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Residential House Parent is responsible to supervise students between the ages of 8 and 18 years and organise activities/animations.

The Residential House Parent will reside on campus in the Boarding House and will be responsible for students’ care and well-being overnight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcoming and monitoring children from 8 to 18 years
  • Accompanying and supervising children in the afternoon, evening, overnight and breakfast
  • Entertaining by leading hands-on and/or sports activities
  • Organising games, workshops and shows
  • Ensuring the safety of children during all trips in or out of the Summer Camp
  • Being responsible for children’s hygiene and safety

  • Ensuring the compliance with health and safety rules of Collège du Léman and respecting the material and the areas
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for boarding students
  • Implement the boarding house code of conduct, ensuring that, along with sanctions, rewards are provided for deserving boarders
  • Promote acceptance of other cultures within the boarding house.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experience working with children and teens mandatory
  • Responsible and autonomous
  • Ability to reassure children and parents
  • Languages required: English (French, Russian, Japanese, Chinese or Arabic is a plus)
  • CPR & First Aid knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Works well under pressure
  • Motivated, dynamic, flexible, professional, organized, and creative
  • Ability to work in a team environment is vital
  • Availability in July and August
  • Being available to work on weekends

CONDITIONS

The summer camp is planned over 3 sessions from 29th June to 9th August 2025.

Dates:  

  • Session 1: 29th June to 12th July 2025
  • Session 2: 13th July to 26th July 2025
  • Session 3: 27th July to 9th August 2025

Please note that the preference will be given to candidates available to work several sessions.
