THE ROLE
In fulfilling the requirements of the post, the teacher will:
- Be able to teach History up to A level
- To teach humanities Geography and History in Key Stage 3.
- Inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues;
- Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate students;
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and improve the quality of students' learning;
- Contribute to the school improvement planning and promote the learning priorities of the school;
- Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school;
- Be proficient with technology and in integrating iPads into the classroom and be familiar with Interactive whiteboards
As Humanities Teacher your focus will be to:
- Lead initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit.
- Support enrichment activities and school events.
- Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates.
- Deliver dynamic, inclusive, and effective lessons.
- Foster creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
- Use data-driven strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences.
- Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance.
- Engage in continuous professional learning.
- Reflect on practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Uphold school values and contribute to a positive school culture.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
- Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
- Compliance with visa requirements for working.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.

THE SCHOOL
