About the role

We are looking for a professional who will thrive working closely with British Vietnamese and international colleagues.

The Cashier is responsible for managing financial transactions within the school, ensuring accurate processing of payments. This role involves keeping financial records, providing great customer service to students and parents, and working with the finance team to maintain the school's financial honesty.

Cashier will cover main duties & responsibilities:

  • Act as Custodian of Petty cash funds.
  • Collect cash daily, Deposit cash to school bank accounts
  • Prepare necessary papers/documents for cash/bank payments, Release cheques and cash payments.
  • Ensure official receipts/invoices cover all payments and all payables/expenses to be properly documented according to the Standard Operating Procedure and Policy.
  • Record in the Cash Receipt Book and the Cash Disbursement book the respective transactions.
  • Process POs relating to cash payment to ensure matching invoice.
  • Be in charge oversea payments.
  • Perform other duties given by Head of Finance
  • Perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the School and Line Manager.

Personal Specifications

The below requirements are essential for a candidate of this position: 

  • Vietnamese citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field or study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2-year experience in administrative jobs.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal & communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Proven teamwork and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities administrative work with speed and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
