The role
This is a wonderful opportunity to lead a well-resourced and vibrant library. The Library sits across both sites, in the Early Years Centre and the Main Campus, and is supported by two library teaching assistants.
The BIS Hanoi Teacher librarian is responsible for directing the Library on both sites, from Foundation to Year 13, and oversees a diverse collection of books, resources and other materials, including online resources, supporting effective literacy development and promoting the love of reading and research. The Teacher Librarian is involved in leading library lessons and class visits as well as assisting with the development of research and independent study skills, building from Primary to Secondary.
The right candidate will be passionate about reading and research for all ages and committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and orderly library environment. They will have excellent people skills, be tech-savvy, and will look to maximise opportunities to connect with librarians in the Nord Anglia network and regionally through FOBISIA and other institutions.
