British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Primary Learning Support Coordinator to join our team of talented and committed educators from August 2026.

THE ROLE

 

We are looking for practitioners who have a thorough understanding of the various needs of students and who are committed to supporting them become the best learners they can.

You will:

  • Identify the children who need special consideration regarding supporting physical, sensory, social, emotional, communication, or cognitive development.
  • Be an advocate for those children and ensure they are given the support they deserve.
  • Promote their inclusion within all activities in school by working alongside staff to promote high standards.
  • Support class teachers adapting learning to support and challenge the needs of learners with additional needs.
  • Lead a team of designated TAs and Learning assistants.
  • Maintain a supporting partnership with parents and caregivers.

Who are we looking for

 

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and exceptional teaching practitioner, who is keen to collaborate and share their specialist expertise. They will be someone who engenders trust and motivation in those they work with, and who places students at the centre of their practice.

They will demonstrate a track record of delivering high-quality educational and behavioural support.

 

They will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. Committed and creative, they will be reflective on their own teaching practice and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.
