Secondary Learning Support Coordinator

British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Learning Support Coordinator, to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2025.
The Learning Support Coordinator leads a team of dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support students identified with Special Education Needs (SEN) and those who are Most Able (MA), providing both in-class and specialised support to maximise learning outcomes. The Coordinator collaborates closely with the English as an Additional Language (EAL) team and the Social-Emotional Counsellor, all based in the school’s newly established Inclusion Centre. Working alongside pastoral and teaching staff, this role is central to supporting a diverse range of student needs, fostering a safe and ambitious environment where every student can thrive. The student support team, comprising passionate and creative professionals, is deeply committed to providing rich and meaningful learning experiences. The Learning Support Coordinator reports to the Deputy Head of Secondary and is supported by a teaching assistant.
Purpose of the role

To support identified students in the areas of Special Education Needs (SEN) and Most Able (MA), including push-in and pull-out where necessary

To promote high-quality inclusive teaching and learning practices within all activities in school, helping to ensure all Secondary School students access, thrive, and respond to personalised academic challenge within our learning environment

Work in collaboration with teachers through collaborative planning, sharing of strategies, preparation of differentiated resources, small group or team teaching in lessons to improve the learning outcomes for learning support students
