British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Teacher of Art & Design, to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2026.

The Art & Design Department at BIS is a vibrant, collaborative hub with large, bright specialist studios and a spacious makerspace. We are well resourced, including a full class set of iPads, multiple laser cutters, and two printing presses. Our rooms are purpose-designed for safe, ambitious making and give students the room to think, test, and refine their ideas. We also have a lively, dedicated IB Art studio that students use during their free time and after school.

Our curriculum follows the UK National Curriculum as a framework in KS3, IGCSE Art & Design in KS4, and IB Visual Arts in KS5. Our teachers are creative, caring professionals who design rich, meaningful learning experiences that build risk-taking, creativity, and future-ready skills. The result is confident learners and consistently high-quality outcomes.

Art and Design is a popular subject and plays a prominent role in the school, visibly celebrated through exhibitions, annual art publications, CCAs, set designs, and on virtual platforms. The department also leads the STEAM programme throughout secondary school. It is a supportive, rewarding place to work for enthusiastic and inspiring teachers, with an energetic student culture that values curiosity and craft.
