Teacher of Design & Technology

British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Teacher of Design & Technology, to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2026.

The Design Technology Department at BIS is a dynamic and collaborative working environment with a strong drive to develop problem solving, risk taking, creativity, and future-ready capabilities. Our makerspace workshops are well equipped with examples including 3D printers, laser cutters, a band saw, drill press, sewing machines, a vacuum former, and a heat press. We are well-resourced with a class set of iPads and access to industry-leading software. Our teachers are passionate, creative thinkers who provide rich and meaningful learning experiences. As a result, the prototypes and products produced by students are exemplary.

Design Technology is a popular subject and plays a prominent role in the school, visibly celebrated through design showcases, STEAM challenges, ECAs, set construction, and on our digital platforms. The department leads STEAM through the Nord Anglia MIT collaboration and Global Campus in Years 7 to 9, offers a school-based diploma in Years 10 to 11 with the ambition to implement the full IGCSE specification, and delivers IB Design Technology in Years 12 to 13. It is a supportive and rewarding place to work for enthusiastic and inspiring teachers.
