British International School Hanoi is looking to appoint a Teacher of History to join our talented and dedicated team of educators from August 2026.
The role
The successful candidate will work within the Humanities team, delivering the History curriculum at KS3, as well as History courses at IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme level. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record at teaching Edexcel IGCSE History and/or experience teaching the International Baccalaureate Diploma for History for Years 12 and 13.
As well as teaching History, the post-holder will be involved in developing and delivering the Global Citizenship curriculum, which runs from Years 7 to 11 and involves a team of teachers to deliver the learning outcomes. The aim of the curriculum is for students to build skills, values, and knowledge that enables them to live responsibly and sustainably, and to contribute to a more caring and respectful world.

In addition to this, the candidate we are looking for will have strong collaboration skills and be able to work within a team environment. The Humanities team is hard-working, supportive, and strives to provide the most engaging and challenging curriculum within our international context.
