OUR SCHOOL
Established in 2011, BVIS HCMC is one of the top international schools in Asia, located in the suburban Binh Chanh District of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The school provides a unique bilingual education through a British-style education based on the National Curriculum of England, IGCSE and A Level studies for children aged 2-18 years old. The school has invested in state-of-the-art world class facilities, teachers and training, resulting in the rapid growth of its reputation and student population.
Last year, 52% of grades at A Level were A*-A and 44% of students that took the IGCSE achieved a grade of A* - A. 1 in 2 BVIS graduates were accepted into the top 50 universities worldwide and the total value of scholarships awarded to the Class of 2024 exceeded a staggering 3 million USD.
Fully integrated within the curriculum is the deliberate nurturing and safeguarding of Vietnam’s language, culture and heritage. This is the first school in Vietnam to offer this unique and special model.

THE ROLE
The Principal will inspire, lead, develop and manage all aspects of school life, including playing a key role in nurturing the values and culture of the school. Critical to their success will be the continued delivery of the school’s distinctive educational offer and unerring focus on achieving the very highest standards and building strong purposeful relationships within the community.
The successful applicant will:
- Be an excellent communicator and compelling storyteller.
- Understand how to blend the best of premium education with contemporary international thinking to maintain a distinctive positioning for the school.
- Understand that leading learning is at the heart of school leadership and will build a team committed to delivering this.
- Drive the marketing and admissions process of the school with passion and a focus on quality that grows both the school and the school’s reputation.
- Collaborate and build high performing teams, inspiring sustainable relationships.
- Engage with students, teachers, parents, and community leaders in a manner that is open, inclusive and conveys the values of NAE.
- Manage financial budgets and commercial aspects of the school with astuteness and engage with, and contribute successfully to the wider organisation.
- Demonstrate the ability to create and execute a strategic plan and manage complex projects.
In addition, the appointed candidate will also:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification at least at Bachelor degree level.
- Demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Have direct experience of working with the English National Curriculum.
- Bring experience of school leadership.
- Be comfortable managing growth and change.
