Job Purpose: Regional Accounts Management

Reporting to: Regional Accounting Manager – Southeast Asia & India

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

About the Role

  • Lead the review and coordination of month end, quarter end and year-end financial accounts of the schools, ensuring that the accounts are prepared on a timely basis in compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS), as well as the policies and procedures of Nord Anglia Education.
  • Work with the school finance team to ensure all reporting deliverables are sent on time, reviewed, accurate and in the correct format for month end, quarterly and year end reporting packs and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support the Regional Accounting Manager with the review of the Balance Sheet identifying reasons for any significant movements and variances to budget/forecast. Ensure all balance sheet items are reconciled and supported with schedules while continuously improving reporting quality and efficiency.
  • Assist school finance teams with all Compliance, Audit, and Risk procedures and practices for the region.
  • Build and maintain KPI monitoring dashboards, business intelligence reports, and automated reporting solutions. Continuously explore and implement innovative technologies to improve reporting quality and business insights.
  • Build trusted partnerships with schools, regional functions to drive alignment, resolve issues, and achieve reporting and operational objectives in a multicultural environment.
  • Encourage and Share Best Practice processes across the region and work with schools to ensure improve efficiency of month end closing with a target of T+3 reporting deadline. Challenge existing ways of working and propose innovative solutions to increase effectiveness and reduce manual effort
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate accounting and reporting processes across the region.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Finance systems-related matters, providing support, coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with schools finance teams in transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, controls, and data quality.

About Your Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of financial accounting, consolidation and reporting.
  • Experience in reviewing internal procedures, processes and controls throughout company, and highlighting any issues to the senior members of the finance team.
  • Statutory compliance experience required.
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
  • Strong technical accounting background previously worked for international organisation and dealing with multi entities
  • Advanced Excel skills including macro’s, pivot tables, data modelling.
  • Strong aptitude for adopting and applying AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) in day-to-day work to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and decision-making.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across the region as required

A plus if you are:

  • ACA and ACCA, CGMA, CPA qualified
  • Education industry work experience
  • Experienced in use of Navision accounting software
