We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated Whole School PE Teacher to join our vibrant BVIS HCMC team.
Key Responsibilities
As Whole School PE Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across Primary and Secondary, tailored to varying abilities and needs.
- Plan creative, stimulating lessons that motivate and challenge students.
- Maintain high expectations for all students and foster strong teacher-student relationships.
- Integrate technology effectively into PE teaching and extracurricular activities.
- Assess student progress and provide clear feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of learning and share best practices.
- Participate in professional learning sessions and contribute to departmental development.
- Communicate effectively with parents on academic and pastoral matters
- Involve in the organization and delivery of extra-curricular activities, school events and competitions.
- Maintain high-quality displays in classrooms and public areas.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards in all learning environments.
What we're looking for
- A PE/Dance or sports-related degree plus a teaching qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of recent classroom teaching experience.
- Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum. Ability to teach across KS1–KS5, with experience in GCSE/IGCSE and A-Level PE desirable.
- Excellent classroom practice and ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
- Passion for dance and swimming is a plus.
- High level of IT competence and willingness to integrate technology into lessons.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Positive outlook, adaptability, and proactive approach to school improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
