Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring manage specific tax-related functions in addition to compliance-related activities
  • Should report monthly and quarterly tax preparation. In addition to this, should also provide a reconciliation of an Indian entities condition for income tax and other tax matters from time to time.
  • Delivering a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
  • Building relationships and interacting with school finance team and consultants to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise.
  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated central, state, and local applicable tax returns and other business-related filings.
  • Ensure that all statutory related general ledger statements are up to date from time to time
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Manage and facilitate income tax and Indirect tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the school finance team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Provide support with various internal / Statutory audits and special tax related projects
  • Review and support for tax returns and monthly /quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Manage, support and mentor members of school finance team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement

Required Skills/Abilities

  • CA (Inter) or MBA-Finance / B.com /M.com
  • Extensive individual/corporate/trust/Societies tax knowledge, Math skills
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Taxation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
