Keyboard Teacher

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Keyboard (Piano) Teacher to provide individual and group lessons that develop students’ technical skills, musicality, and performance confidence. The teacher will nurture a love for music through tailored instruction suitable for various skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach keyboard/piano lessons to students of different ages and abilities

• Develop lesson plans focusing on technique, sight-reading, theory, and repertoire

• Prepare students for recitals, examinations, and performances

• Assess student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback

• Maintain and organize musical instruments and teaching materials

• Foster creativity, discipline, and a positive learning environment

• Collaborate with music department for ensemble and concert preparations

• Participate in school music events and professional development

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Music, Piano Performance, or Music Education

• Proven experience teaching keyboard/piano in schools or private settings

• Familiarity with music exam boards (ABRSM, Trinity, etc.) is a plus

• Strong performance skills and passion for teaching
