Language and Literature Teacher

At Colegio Peruano Británico, we are looking for a passionate and committed Language and Literature Teacher to join our academic team.
The successful candidate will teach Language and Literature at Secondary and Upper School (Bachillerato) levels, fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for reading and writing, in alignment with the school’s mission, values, and educational approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach Language and Literature courses at Secondary and Upper School (IB) levels.
• Design and implement engaging lessons that promote reading comprehension, literary analysis, and written and oral expression.
• Select and adapt literary texts appropriate to students’ age, level, and curricular objectives.
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and align teaching practices.
• Participate in academic projects, cultural activities, and school events related to language and literature.
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and colleagues.
• Contribute to an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Education, Language and Literature, Hispanic Studies, or related fields.
• Teaching experience in Secondary and/or Upper School (IB).
• Strong knowledge of language instruction, literary analysis, and academic writing.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive classroom practices (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
• Willingness to participate actively in the school community and institutional projects.
