Primary School Teacher (Maternity Cover)

At Colegio Peruano Británico, we are looking for a committed, innovative, and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our academic team.

The successful candidate will support the holistic development of primary students, fostering meaningful learning experiences and promoting academic, social, and emotional growth within a dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered environment. The role also involves teaching some lessons in English, contributing to the school’s bilingual program.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning experiences aligned with the Primary curriculum.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student development and wellbeing.
  • Teach Mathematics at the Primary level using effective and engaging instructional strategies.
  • Deliver some lessons in English as part of the school's bilingual education program.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, coordinators, and families to promote student success and wellbeing.
  • Participate actively in school projects, events, and institutional initiatives.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with families regarding students’ academic and personal development.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Primary Education.
  • Strong command of English, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively in a bilingual educational environment.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at the Primary level.
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience as a Primary School Teacher.
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive educational practices.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills and commitment to contributing positively to the school community.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous professional development.
