CORPORATE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

 

Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).

 

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Finance Team, sat within the Group Central Support.  

 

We are looking for someone to support on the management of the financial and statutory reporting requirements, leading process and systems improvement for the accounting function, review of central subsidiary accounts and reporting packs under IFRS and other applicable GAAPs, and the co-ordination of year end and ad-hoc audits.  

 

The role:

We seek an individual to join as a Corporate Accounting Manager where your focus will be to:

  • Support the business with the acquisition and integration of new schools.
  • Work with the Senior Group Reporting Manager and Regional Finance controllers to reduce reliance on manual and inefficient processes and comply with the agreed internal key controls necessary to move to a controls-based audit.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide clear and concise accounting advice on significant and unusual transactions.
  • Accountable for the co-ordination and preparation of the statutory accounts for all central entities and liaising with the Group Financial control team as to status and accounting guidance.
  • Preparation of tax packs and liaise with the Group tax team to ensure these are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ownership and review of the trial balances for the central entities as well as key account reconciliations
  • Review and approve monthly bank reconciliations

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Degree in finance/accounting or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong academic performance at tertiary level in the relevant discipline
  • IFRS knowledge
  • Risk identification, process improvement and internal controls development
  • Experience in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels throughout an organisation
  • Knowledge of ERP systems- Navision and OneStream (or similar platforms)
