Group Reporting Project Manager

 

Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).

 

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Group Reporting Financial Manager to join our London Victoria HQ, in the Finance team, offering a 6 month fixed-term contract.

 

We are looking for someone to support the Senior Group Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller, where your responsibilities will include planning for external and internal financial reporting, accounting for complex transactions and managing the audit requirements. Primarily, you would be project managing the new auditors and their requirements.

 

The role:

We seek an individual to join as a Group Reporting Project Manager where your focus will be:

  • Being the primary interface with new external auditors for management of audit testing procedures and deliverables from a Group perspective.
  • Primary interface with the Regional financial reporting teams.
  • Knowledgeable and responsive to the business needs and wants, with the ability to adapt accounting policies, procedures and financial reporting systems as required.
  • Liaising with auditors and planning on continuously improve the consolidation process and reduce reliance on manual and inefficient processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide clear and concise accounting advice on significant and unusual transactions.
  • Business strategy and planning on the accounting considerations of potential contracts/ transactions.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the Group’s external and internal financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
  • Liaise with the Head of Tax & Treasure to ensure cooperation across all areas , including deliver of overseas requirements
  • Manage the annual financial statement filing process and related requirements within the various jurisdictions and ensuring timely and accurate filings
  • Support the preparation of meeting material for the Audit and Risk Committee in relation to the Group’s Financial Statements.

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Degree in finance/accounting or related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Professional accounting qualifications (Qualified Chartered / Certified Accountant)
  • Five or more years post-qualified experience in Industry
  • IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Risk identification, process improvement and internal controls development
  • Knowledge of financial systems, including Navision, Hyperion and HFM / OneStream (desired)
  • Previous consolidation experience
  • Previous working experience in asset-light serviced based industries, high-growth industries and/or start-up firms (at-least 2 years)
  • Experience working in a global organisation, across multiple time-zones, and with cross-border transactions
