Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).

In the role of Head of Treasury Operations, you will be responsible for all operational treasury activities for NAE group companies.

 

The role:

As Head of Treasury Operations your focus will be:

  • Ensure timely processing and confirmation of all treasury transactions and trades.
  • Oversee daily bank account reconciliations and month-end close coordination.
  • Manage intercompany loans, deposits, and in-house banking structures.
  • Administer bank accounts, mandates, KYC, and banking portals.
  • Liaise with external debt administrators for facility management.
  • Maintain and support treasury systems and user access.
  • Lead cash management RFPs and support regional treasury initiatives.
  • Deliver KPI reporting on payment volumes, STP rates, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide month-end and ad-hoc reports on treasury transactions and financial exposures.
  • Ensure accuracy of system-generated reports, especially around derivative valuations.
  • Maintain the operational risk register and document policy breaches or near-misses.
  • Develop risk reports and monitor compliance with internal controls.
  • Enhance controls across treasury systems and processes.
  • Drive process improvements and support regional teams.
  • Measure performance against KPIs and SLAs.
  • Build internal and external relationships to strengthen treasury’s role and partnerships.
  • Lead development of treasury systems for optimal STP and integration.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative banking technologies (e.g., virtual accounts, APIs, pooling solutions).

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • A strong and proven background on treasury operations, and treasury systems and platforms.
  • Build, manage and mentor a cohesive and high performing operations team.
  • Focus on technology solutions for automation and efficiency of processes, with an emphasis on maintaining effective controls and standardisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to Regional and School teams in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Ability to build credibility and maintain relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues and represent the Group at industry events.
  • Experienced Treasury Finance professional, with PQE treasury experience and a solid track record, underpinned by relevant Treasury and/or accounting qualifications (ACT/AMCT and/or CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar).
  • Proven treasury management experience in a geographically diverse multinational group, with experience operating at group level, with in depth knowledge of global banking and payment networks.
  • Knowledgeable and literate with ERP (NAV BC), EPM (OneStream) and TMS (FIS Integrity).
  • Track record of operating in a treasury transformation environment and developing and implementing new operating procedures / SOPs.
  • Maintaining a robust control environment in a geographically diversified organisation.
  • Strong commercial background and understanding of drivers of trading performance.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and BI for producing reports, dashboards, and presentations.
