Legal Assistant:
Offering a 7 month fixed-term contract.
The Legal Assistant will provide essential support across our Treasury and Legal teams at Nord Anglia Education Limited, located at our London Headquarter Office.
We're looking for a pragmatic, confident and energetic individual who will assist the Head of Secretariat in the provision KYC information and by providing transaction support in the execution a major treasury project.
This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements, assisting with regulatory filings, and supporting the Company Secretary in the administration of board meetings and corporate records management. As part of the Group Central Support division, you will work closely with various stakeholders across the organisation to help uphold high standards of legal and corporate governance practices.
The role:
- You will work closely with colleagues across the Treasury and Company Secretariat Teams, you will engage with our banking partners to implement a new account structure and ensure existing accounts have consistent and refreshed Bank Mandates.
- You will work across our central, regional, and local finance teams to obtain relevant corporate information to enable us to meet the requirements of our banking partners in establishing new accounts and updating mandates for existing accounts. The work will combine corporate, legal and co-sec related tasks and a key factor in the successful execution of the project will be to manage the volume of actions by demonstrating flexibility in managing workflows.
- The successful candidate will have experience working within a multinational organisation.
- You will have a proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive set of skills and abilities essential for the Assistant Company Secretary role. Key requirements include:
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles: Knowledge of UK company law, regulatory requirements, and best practices in corporate secretarial work.
- Experience in board and committee administration: Supporting the coordination and preparation of board meetings, including compiling agendas, minute taking, and maintaining accurate records of decisions and actions.
- Excellent communication skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication, enabling effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including directors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
- Attention to detail and organisation: Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring timely delivery of filings, documentation, and correspondence with precision.
- Technological proficiency: Comfortable working with document management systems, legal databases, Microsoft Office suite, and digital communication tools.
- Confidentiality and integrity: Handling sensitive information discreetly and upholding strict confidentiality standards at all times.
- Problem-solving and initiative: Ability to proactively identify process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of compliance and governance procedures.
- Legal or corporate secretarial qualification: While not mandatory, professional qualifications such as ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) or equivalent would be advantageous.
