Portfolio Analyst (Real Estate)

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Portfolio Analyst (Real Estate) to join our Legal department within the Group Central Support at our London Headquarter Office.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic management and optimisation of our real estate portfolio, supporting the organisation's growth and sustainability goals.

The successful candidate will analyse portfolio performance, assist in decision-making processes regarding asset acquisitions, disposals, and management, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.

 

The role:

 

  • The Portfolio Analyst plays a key role in supporting the effective management of a global real estate portfolio across leased and owned commercial and residential assets.
  • The role focuses on maintaining accurate portfolio and contract data, ensuring lease compliance, supporting financial and reporting requirements (including IFRS16), and delivering insightful analysis to inform strategic decision-making across global, regional, and school teams.
  • Due to the dynamic nature of a growing business, and as a part of a team (Legal) working across the organisation (subject to capacity and priorities) you may be asked to support other strategic projects from time to time.

What we're looking for:

 

To excel as a Portfolio Analyst (Real Estate), candidates should possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical competencies, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective contribution to the portfolio's strategic management.

 

  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analysing real estate market data, financial performance metrics, and portfolio evaluation to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with real estate valuation methods, investment analysis, and portfolio management tools (including databases).
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to interpret financial reports, budgets, and forecasts relevant to real estate assets.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication capabilities for preparing reports and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Adaptability: Open to embracing change and new approaches within a dynamic organisational environment.
  • Decision Making: Capacity to make considered decisions based on data analysis and organisational priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in handling data accuracy and documentation.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for complex data analysis; experience with real estate management software is advantageous; open to using and developing AI skills for application within the role.
  • Qualifications: A degree in real estate, finance, economics, or related fields is preferred.
