Senior Learning Experience Designer

 

Location: London Victoria (hybrid model, minimum 3 days in office).

In the role of Senior Learning Experience Designer, you will be responsible for leading a team of best-in-class learning experience designers to design and maintaining high-quality learning experiences that align with Nord Anglia University (NAU)’s strategic goals.

You’ll stay current with best practices in learning design, proposing content strategies, and scoping innovative learning mechanisms. The role oversees the operational management of the content pipeline and maintenance, while ensuring consistency and quality through robust systems and procedures.

You’ll be the key point of contact between functional/ programme leads and learning experience designers to facilitate the prioritisation and creation of content aligned to educational, commercial and organisational business needs and priorities. While also working closely with colleagues around the organisation, particularly the NAU Team, to ensure that the NAU content is meeting the needs of all users in the organisation.

 

You’ll play an integral role in the learning experiences of NAU and how it can support staff in our global network to engage in professional learning, supporting our vision of developing the highest quality colleagues.

 

The role:

As Senior Learning Experience Designer your focus will be:

  • Raise awareness and build capacity for how NAU supports learning and key NAE programmes among stakeholders (including Programme Leads, SMEs, user groups).
  • Align learning experiences on NAU with NAU and Professional Learning strategy, using international best practice in learning design and PL.
  • Manage the Learning Experience Designer team to scope, prioritise, create, and deliver content that meets deadlines
  • Create, maintain and enhance LXD standard operating procedures (e.g. learning space maintenance, content authoring principles, community spaces build, programme lead permissions, content auditing, course testing, QA of new learning, etc.)
  • Define and enforce NAU PL standards (design, accessibility, data, evaluation).
  • Manage additional expert consultancy capacity to deliver NAU developments and enhancements
  • Maintain and manage relationships with the respective staff that use NAU across the organization to ensure effective use
  • Conduct bi-annual reviews of authoring tools and learning mechanisms
  • Maintain a living knowledge base and playbooks; codify “what works” on NAU to continue building the capacity of others to design, develop and deliver high quality PL on NAU
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards (engagement, completion, transfer, impact on practice/outcomes).

 

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Experience with designing learning experiences, including on the Docebo platform or other LMS platforms (essential)
  • Experience working in education or learning and development (essential)
  • Experience working an international school group setting (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver on immediate priorities and plan for future needs.
  • Proven experience managing high value adding teams.
