SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

Fixed-Term Duration: 24 months

Location: Central London

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Systems Architect to join our DNA (Digital Nord Anglia) team, sat within the Group Central Support.  

As a member of the central support DNA team in our London headquarters, we are looking for someone to work alongside the Group Head of Technology. This is an exciting opportunity to design, optimise, and evaluate the technologies that form our digital education platforms and products. 

The Role:

We seek a qualified, and experienced Systems Architect to:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical architecture for the digital education platforms.
• Ensure seamless integration of various educational technologies, tools, and data sources, fostering a cohesive and interconnected ecosystem. 
• Conduct research and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the platform's capabilities.
• Advocate for the adoption of new technologies and improvements to existing systems that add value.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• Proven experience as a Systems Architect or a similar role, preferably in the digital education domain or a related industry.
• TOGAF experience/certification.
• Proficiency in designing systems and solution architecture incorporating SaaS, Digital web and apps, email protocols, Cloud infra, Middleware, backend enterprise systems and data platforms.
• Understanding of EdTech standards LTI, LIS, OneRoster, xAPI, SCORM, cmi5 etc, ideal, or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in architectural design patterns, data modelling, system integration and considerations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others to define requirements.
• Experience with educational technologies, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Student Information Systems (SIS) is advantageous.
• API / Integrations understanding, definition overseeing implementation for cross platform interoperability.
• RPA and automation experience connecting legacy systems.
• Identity management and SSO understanding and integration experience.
• Understanding of cyber security and global compliance.
• Experience of considered architecture including functional, non-functional, timelines, commercial considerations and constraints
• Experience in integrating digital platforms to backend enterprise systems: Salesforce CRM, SuccessFactors HR, Mulesoft, Azure cloud, Azure data platform.
• Innovation and use of AI tools
