Bucksmore Education is a leading provider of academic short courses for international students of all ages. Established in 1979, Bucksmore welcomes over 1,500 students, predominantly in summer, but also throughout the year from all over the world. Bucksmore is part of the large Nord Anglia Education group, which operates over 80 international schools across the world.
The Director assumes the full day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of Bucksmore Education, including P&L / budget design & ownership to EBITDA level; commercial, financial, and operational activity; and interaction with central Nord Anglia (NAE) functions and NAE schools across the world.
Bucksmore Education consists of 3 main product and revenue-generating areas, all included in the annual budget and long-term strategy: 1) UK summer schools; 2) closed / tailored groups for schools & universities in the UK; and 3) year-round 1:1 home tuition. The Director oversees all products with three direct reports and a team of 10 (in addition to seasonal staff).
As well as overall control of all direct Bucksmore activity in the operations (programme delivery) and commercial (sales, marketing, and admissions) spheres, the Director must also coordinate with central NAE functions including the GRU (global sales team), HR, finance, and IT, ensuring shared strategic goals are delivered as planned.
The Director of Bucksmore Education is accountable for the planning and achieving of growth of both revenue and profitability; the quality of the delivery of Bucksmore Education’s programmes and the meeting of compliance and regulatory standards.
