About Our School

 

Nord Anglia International School Manila (NAISM) is one of the leading international schools in the Philippines offering contemporary British international education to students from Pre-Nursery through to Secondary. Since opening in 2012, our thriving private school in Manila has grown into a community of around 350 students. Home to more than 30 nationalities, we’re a truly diverse international family.

 

The school is located in the rapidly developing Aseana City part of Manila. The school is approaching capacity in the existing buildings and plans are well underway for a new purpose-built school nearby.

 

We offer contemporary British education for children aged 2 to 18, from early years through to the sixth form. This is delivered by our brilliant teachers, who have outstanding UK (or equivalent) professional credentials, as well as extensive National Curriculum for England experience.

The Role

 

The Principal will inspire, lead, develop and manage all aspects of school life, including playing a key role in nurturing the values and culture of the school. Critical to their success will be the continued delivery of the school’s distinctive educational offer and unerring focus on achieving the very highest standards and building strong purposeful relationships within the community. 

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Be an excellent communicator and compelling storyteller.
  • Understand how to blend the best of premium education with contemporary international thinking to maintain a distinctive positioning for the school.
  • Understand that leading learning is at the heart of school leadership and will build a team committed to delivering this.
  • Drive the marketing and admissions process of the school with passion and a focus on quality that grows both the school and the school’s reputation.
  • Collaborate and build high performing teams, inspiring sustainable relationships.
  • Engage with students, teachers, parents, and community leaders in a manner that is open, inclusive and conveys the values of NAE.
  • Manage financial budgets and commercial aspects of the school with astuteness and engage with, and contribute successfully to the wider organisation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and execute a strategic plan and manage complex projects.

 

In addition, the appointed candidate will also:

 

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification at least at Bachelor degree level.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Have direct experience of working with the English National Curriculum and post 16 education with a sound knowledge of the IBDP.
  • Bring experience of school leadership, preferably in an international environment.
  • Be comfortable managing growth and change.
