We’re looking to recruit an outstanding Teaching Assistant for Secondary to join our Manila school, a Nord Anglia Education school.

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

You’ll support the role of the teacher to deliver a high-quality education that ensures all students succeed in a premium education setting.

 

You’ll interact positively and regularly with all stakeholders to continually develop and improve on our already exceptionally strong community.

KEY RESULT AREA

 

  • To work under the guidance of teaching / senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes or enable access to learning with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
  • To lead and maintain positive and enjoyable break times for pupils including organising and participating in physical games and activities.
  • To contribute to the whole school ethos, environment and organisation both practically and as a positive role model for pupils and colleagues.
  • Staff may also supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task. In providing cover supervision, Teaching Assistants will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake teacher-prepared activities.

 

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

 

ESSENTIAL:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • Valid license as Professional Teacher (PRC)
  • At least 2 years experience working in Secondary setting

 

DESIRABLE: 

  • Proven track record with at least two years teaching experience
  • Experience of working in international school setting
  • Special Education background
  • Competent user of ISAMS

SELECTION PROCESS: There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.  First stage interviews will be conducted via online video calls and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 8th January 2024 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person).
